Reds tweet about Jonathan India's 'nice bat flip' vs. Cubs pitcher Rowan Wick at Wrigley

When Cincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India flipped his bat as he watched his three-run home run off of Chicago Cubs relief pitcher Rowan Wick in the 7th inning of Tuesday night's 5-3 win at Wrigley Field, the Reds' Twitter account didn't miss a golden opportunity to have a little fun at the expense of Wick and the Cubs.

About one month ago, Reds first baseman Joey Votto exchanged words with Wick during the 8th inning of Cincinnati's 4-3 win at Great American Ball Park.

Wick threw a pitch up and in to Votto. When Votto walked, Wick appeared to use profanity toward him. Votto yelled at Wick, a fellow Canadian, and at the Cubs' dugout.

"All I said was nice bat flip," Wick told reporters after the game.

"You know, we were just - (Wick) had something to say, and I answered," Votto told reporters. "And that's how ball is sometimes. You're competitive. And clearly he was competing and locked in on performing well. And I'm pulling on the opposite end of the same rope. And if someone says something to me, sometimes I don't answer. But I wasn't in the mood to keep my mouth shut. And you know, it's part of the game. It can be one of the more enjoyable parts of the game - you know competing, some talk. I really enjoy that part of the game. Sometimes it can be overextended, can be taken too far. But generally speaking, I enjoy that part as long as the other party is fine with taking it. You know, you give it to me, no problem. I'll (expletive) give it back."

Votto and Wick exchanged words again after Votto's strikeout in the bottom of the 7th inning during the Reds' 20-5 win May 26.
