WAYCROSS — William Lamar “Billy” Hiott, 68, of Waycross died Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
A lifelong resident of Waycross, Hiott was born December 31, 1953 to the late Newt Hiott and Louise Ivey Hiott. He retired from Big Lots and loved racing.
Along with his parents, Hiott was preceded in death by four brothers, Andrew Hiott, Roy Hiott, Jimmy Hiott, LA Hiott; and two sisters, JoAnn Hickox and Carolyn Crews.
He is survived by two brothers, Wayne Hiott of Blackshear and Johnny Hiott of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 30, in Oakland Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, June 28, at the Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
