Two killed in late-night motorcycle crash

Wichita Falls Police worked the scene of a fatal accident on Holliday Street Tuesday night. A man and woman were killed when the motorcycle they were on crashed into a tree.

A 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman died from injuries in a motorcycle crash late Tuesday.

It happened about around 11:20 p.m. near 15th and Holliday streets.

Wichita Falls Police Sgt. Paul Newton said an officer saw a motorcycle run through a red light and attempted to stop it when it lost control and crashed into a tree.

Police spokesman Sgt. Charlie Eipper said, "Sadly, the driver was found deceased on the scene. The female passenger was transported to the URHCS were she was pronounced deceased."

WFPD released the victims names Wednesday morning as David Ford Jr. and Juanita Anderson. Both victims were Wichita Falls residents.

Police shut down the intersection at 15th and Holliday as they investigated the scene.

Eipper said the driver’s body was been sent for an autopsy and this investigation is still pending.
