KWED announces Freedom Fiesta menu board

(Seguin) – You might want to consider skipping breakfast and maybe even lunch this coming Saturday. That’s because taste buds will be treated to all their favorites during this year’s KWED Freedom Fiesta and Food Truck Festival. Just over 10 food trucks plus four local non-profit food vendors will be a part of this year’s Fourth of July celebration slated for Saturday night in downtown Seguin.

Last year, KWED hosted a modified Freedom Fiesta event introducing the food truck component. The success was so incredible that the radio station is again bringing back the trucks along with a handful of organizations all looking to raise money for their non-profit.

The menu board this year includes a fleet of trucks. They include Grouchy Mama’s known for its gourmet cheeseburgers, pulled pork, Cubano sandwich, pasta salad etc.

TNT Dogz will return with its gourmet hot dogs, fries, and chips.

Frankie J’s will be on hand featuring its Ramen Birria, Birria tacos, quesadillas, fruit cups, corn in a cup plus Agua Frescas.
Wiggle Waggle will help cool things off with its shave ice, floats, smoothies and mangonadas

After being amazed by the large crowd last year, Chick-Fil-A will also return with its original sandwiches, spicy sandwiches, nuggets, chips, cookies, brownies, lemonade, sweet tea, and grilled wraps.

Dive in Donuts will also be on hand with mini donuts, various desserts, Italian sodas, iced coffee, and lemonade.

Davila’s BBQ will return to the celebration featuring its BBQ grilled cheese, BBQ Frito pie, turkey legs, brisket tacos, and lamb barbacoa tacos.
It’s also never too hot for some tamales. Tamale Kingz will be on site with tamales, Birria tacos, street tacos, ceviche, and Cali-burritos.
Couples Catering will be offering up pork chops on a stick, Philly cheese steaks, mozzarella sticks, ranch hand tots, sausage on a stick, and carne asada French fries.

Also helping to keep things cool and tasty will be Mister Softee which features ice cream, shakes, malts, floats, sundaes, ice pops, paletas, cartwheels, chips, soda, water, banana boats and swirls.

Rounding out this year’s Freedom Fiesta food truck menu board are Sweet Rentals with kettle corn, ribbon fries, and bottled water.
The list of this year’s non-profit vendors includes Straight Street Church which will be offering up its crispy tacos (ground beef) with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Making the night complete with funnel cakes will be the members of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Bringing in its entire team will the Seguin Youth Sports League CFPO. The group will be on site grilling up both beef and chicken fajitas.
The Seguin Chapter 555 Order of the Eastern Star will also be raising money for its scholarships through the sales of sodas and water. The Seguin Knights of Columbus and its members will also be returning to host this year’s beer garden.

Kicking off this year’s Freedom Fiesta at 6 p.m. will be the annual Kiddie Parade around Central Park. The celebration will also include live music by Austin’s 11-piece variety band Jumpstart.

This year’s Freedom Fiesta is free. The event will be held from 6 to 11 p.m. Saturday, July 2 in downtown Seguin.
