Helen Rose Cavaness Taylor, 89, of Alamo, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. She was born on August 28, 1932 in the Davidson Chapel Community in Gibson County, Tennessee. She graduated from Bradford High School and attained an Associate’s Degree from Memphis State University.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Franklin Cavaness and Freda Mae Cavaness; siblings, Bobbie Earline Batchelor, James Harold Cavaness, Billy Frank Cavaness, and Charles Otis Cavaness and her husband, Jasper Taylor III.
She was a homemaker and was active in her local church, Alamo First Baptist, the Crockett County Farm Bureau, and the local public library.
She is survived by her children, Diane Marie Ford, Donna Rose Butler, husband Lee, and Jasper Taylor IV; five grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and seven nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be sent to Alamo First Baptist Church or to the charity of your choice.
The family will receive friends at Alamo First Baptist Church, Thursday, June 30, 2022, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A Celebration of life will begin immediately after the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Alamo City Cemetery in Alamo, Tennessee.
