Brainerd Lakes Area Celebrates The 4th Of July

We’re coming up on the 4th of July Weekend in the Brainerd Lakes Area and that means MORE FIREWORKS and PARADES than you can “shake a sparkler at!”
Here is a list of places you can catch 4th of July Fireworks and/or Parades here in the BLA!

SATURDAY… JULY 2:

Head to Crosslake on Sat. July 2nd for the 2022 Celebrate America FIREWORKS display staring at dusk!  This year marks the 52nd year that the city of Crosslake will celebrate America’s freedom!  The fireworks will be shot off from Sand Island, so park your car, your chair or your boat and get ready for a great show!  For more information, visit Crosslake.com.

SUNDAY… JULY 3:

Nisswa Freedom Days Celebration
will take place on Sun. July 3rd with a full schedule of fun!  Activities throughout the day include turtle races, water wars, live music, food vendors and more!  The Freedom Days Parade will begin at 7:00 as spectators line both sides of Main Street to watch the wonderful parade.  After the parade, a carnival will open, followed by FIREWORKS at 10:15.    For more info, visit Nisswa.com.

The Fourth of July FUN in Pequot Lakes starts Sun. July 3rd with the kickoff to Stars & Stripes Days!  Starting at 5:00, Trailside Park will come alive with food vendors, a bean bag toss tournament, tons of kids activities, live music with The Rusty Crayfish Brass Band at 7:00 and FIREWORKS at dusk!     ((Then on Mon, July 4th, the day starts with the Firemen’s Pancake Breakfast at the Pequot Lakes Firehall (7-11), a craft fair with food vendors in Trailside Park, more kids activities including a Kiddie Parade at 9:30!  A pie-eating contest starts at 10:30 followed by the Stars & Stripes Days Parade at 12:00!))  For more information, visit PequotLakes.com

Enjoy a spectacular FIREWORKS show on Bay Lake near Ruttger’s Bay Lake Resort on Sun. July 3rd.  See the show from the shores of Ruttger’s or from the waters of Bay Lake.  The show starts at dusk.

MONDAY…  JULY 4th 

Stars & Stripes Days in Pequot Lakes continues with fun on Mon. July 4th in Pequot Lakes.   The day starts with the Firemen’s Pancake Breakfast at the Pequot Lakes Firehall (7-11), a craft fair with food vendors in Trailside Park (9-3), more kids activities including a bungee trampoline, bounce house, kids climb and water wars and a Kiddie Parade at 9:30!  A pie-eating contest starts at 10:30 followed by the Stars & Stripes Days Parade at 12:00!  For more information, visit PequotLakes.com

Celebrate the 4th of July in Crosby!  The fun will be based on the shores of Serpent Lake in Crosby Memorial Park on Mon. July 4th with food vendors, a beer garden, live music and activities.  The day will include a 2-mile parade at 11:00 in Ironton along Highway 210 with a kiddie parade in Crosby on Main Street starting at 11:00 near SuperOne.  FIREWORKS will begin at dusk.   Visit CuyunaLakes.com  CuyunaLakes.com for more info.

The City of Garrison, located on the Northwest shores of Mille Lacs Lake, invites everyone to enjoy their 2022 FIREWORKS on Mon. July 4th over Garrison Bay.  The fireworks will start at 10:00.  For more info, visit the City of Garrison’s website.

Celebrate Independence Day in Longville on Mon. July 4th with food, fun and games throughout the town starting at 10:00.  Kids will enjoy jumping around inside the inflatables, there will be food for sale from local restaurants, food trucks and more!  The PARADE will start at 11:00 and be followed by kids races, contests and games!  Then at dusk, enjoy FIREWORKS over Girl Lake in front of Patrick’s.  For more info, visit Longville.com.

Brainerd Community Action will host the 2022 Brainerd 4th of July Parade on Mon. July 4th starting at 6:00.  Due to construction, there will be a new route this year, counterclockwise from years previous.  The parade will start in front of Mickey’s Pizza & Subs, travel north on S. 5th, turn left onto Laurel before turning left again on East River Rd.  It will end at the High School Football stadium bleachers.  Following the parade, family relay races will start at 8:00 and take place east of the football playing surface.  Brainerd’s world class FIREWORKS will start at 10:15.  For more information, visit the event’s Facebook   page.

Madden’s and Cragun’s on Gull Lake
will partner together to provide FIREWORKS starting around 10:00 p.m. on Mon. July 4th.  The public can watch from the East Gull Lake airport, the Madden’s driving range on County Road 77, or by boat on the south end of Gull Lake.
