State police have identified the Massachusetts couple who died in a crash on Soldiers Field Road in Boston.Authorities said the crash involving a white 2019 Acura RDX and a blue 2016 Infiniti Q50 happened at about 7:15 p.m. Monday in the area of 1800 Soldiers Field Road.According to state police, the Acura was exiting a business when it was struck by an Infiniti that was traveling east on Soldiers Field Road.The driver of the Acura, 85-year-old Donald Houllahan, of Belmont, and his wife, 83-year-old Jean Houllahan, were both transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.State police said Donald Houllahan died shortly after arriving at a hospital, while Jean Houllahan died of her injuries overnight.Three people who were inside the Infiniti at the time of the crash were transported to an area hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.All lanes of Soldiers Field Road near the scene of the crash were closed until about 9 p.m.The crash is being investigated by state troopers assigned to the Boston Barracks and members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, MSP Troop H and the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit.

According to state police, the Acura was exiting a business when it was struck by an Infiniti that was traveling east on Soldiers Field Road.

The driver of the Acura, 85-year-old Donald Houllahan, of Belmont, and his wife, 83-year-old Jean Houllahan, were both transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

State police said Donald Houllahan died shortly after arriving at a hospital, while Jean Houllahan died of her injuries overnight.

All lanes of Soldiers Field Road near the scene of the crash were closed until about 9 p.m.

The crash is being investigated by state troopers assigned to the Boston Barracks and members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, State Police Crime Scene Services Section, MSP Troop H and the Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit.
