The 14U Junior Teeners were back in action in Clark on Thursday, June 23. Milbank lost the first game 10-9 and the second game 12-2.

Game One Jackson Wiese, Jeter Scoular, and Mack Koplin started the first game. They all drew walks to load the bases for Tyler Henje. Henje blasted a triple to centerfield to score all three and give Milbank a 3-0 lead. Mason Allen grounded out to the first baseman to score Henje and move the score to 4-0.

In the top of the second, Dane Anderson drew a leadoff walk, and Jackson Wiese followed with a single to put runners on first and third. Scoular and Koplin drew walks to load the bases for the second time for Henje. Henje singled to right field to increase Milbank’s lead to 5-2. Liam Heller’s bases-clearing double added three more to their lead at 8-2.

Milbank tacked on one more in the top of the fourth. Henje reached first on an error by the catcher, and he eventually scored on a passed ball. The run was just enough to tie the game at 9-9 after Clark went on a hitting streak. Milbank, however, took the loss with a final score of 9-10.

Henje and Wiese led the way with two hits each for MIlbank. Heller also added one to their total of five.

Game Two In game two, Milbank scored their two runs in the top of the first inning. Jackson Wiese led off with a single followed by Jeter Scoular who drew a walk. Mack Koplin grounded out to score Wiese and give Milbank the lead at 1-0. Tyler Henje singled to left field to score Scoular and increase their lead to 2-0. But, that was the only bright spot in the game. Milbank eventually fell 12-2. Wiese, Henje, and Beckham Berry all recorded singles.
