Police arrested convicted felon Lonnie Booker, 50, of Redding, on Tuesday, after a probation search revealed meth, ammunition, and a rifle.
While the RPD Bike Team was patrolling the downtown area, they said they developed information about Booker being involved in illegal narcotics activity. They relayed the information back to nearby patrol officers who found Booker and began searching him.
They learned Booker was a convicted felon and currently on probation and prone to searches. The RPD said their patrol officers searched Booker and found methamphetamine.
The RPD transported Booker back to his home where officers found drug paraphernalia, a large amount of ammunition, and a .22 caliber rifle.
Ultimately, Booker was booked into the Shasta County Jail for narcotics and firearms-related charges.
