3 arrested after drones and helicopter were called during failed traffic stop in Fresno

After multiple resources were deployed, two teens and one adult were arrested after failing to pull over for a traffic stop.

The three, police say were driving at a fast speed near Ashlan Ave. and Fresno St. Monday night. Officials were able to locate them and saw the group jumping into a backyard of a home, then onto the campus of Pyle Elementary School.

Back at the vehicle officers found a rifle and a handgun during the search.

Once the officers learned they were somewhere on campus they called in their drones to help keep an eye out until a CHP helicopter arrived.

The three were found hiding next to a building and taken into custody without incident.

All had previously been arrested for possession of a firearm. They were booked into jail facing various charges.
