Two airlifted to hospital after head-on collision in Brigham City

Two people were transported to the hospital via Life Flight after police said a car drifted into oncoming traffic hitting another vehicle head on.

Officials with Brigham City Fire Department said they were dispatched to the scene while working on a separate incident involving a high-pressure gas main that was hit during excavation work.

According to authorities, they dispatched crews to the head-on collision at 200 East 200 South a short time after 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday.

Brigham Fire officials said both drivers required extrication from each vehicle, and both were in critical condition.

The driver of one of the vehicles was life-flighted from the scene by a helicopter, while the other driver was transported by ambulance but later determined to be flown to a neighboring hospital due to the severity of their injuries.

Additional details of the crash was not initially provided, and it was unclear which vehicle was accused of drifting into oncoming traffic.
