Fireworks show Thursday night

PRESCOTT – Remember, the place to be in Prescott Thursday night is Cummins Stadium for the city’s annual fireworks show.

Due to ongoing construction and limitations on space the Prescott-Nevada County Chamber of Commerce and the city are having to make a few changes to the 2022 City of Prescott Firework Show.

There will still be an amazing firework display that will be shot off from the Prescott High School Baseball Complex on Thursday, June 30, at approximately 8pm, when the sun goes down.

For seating everyone is encouraged to watch the show from the home side stands at the Prescott High School Football Stadium. Safety is the top concern for the citizens, and residents are asked not get close to the baseball fields to watch.

There will not be a concert this year at the football stadium. We were beyond excited to have Trey Johnson playing for us this year but due to some unforeseen circumstance we will not be allowed to use the track and football field at this time, said Jamie Hillery, chamber director. Trey has assured us that he would love to play for us again and we will be working with him to get on his upcoming calendar of events.

There will be a snow cone stand and the Prescott Lions Club will be set up in the Prescott High School student parking lot, so make sure to bring some money and get something to enjoy and keep cool while watching the show.

Please be considerate as these were all very hard decisions to be made, Hillery said. If you have any questions, please contact the Chamber of Commerce office at 870-887-2101.
