Back on June 14, the Pegula family released a statement saying Kim was receiving medical care after some "unexpected health issues." At the time, the family said they were "very grateful" for the progress she had made over a few days time.

After a number of reckless rumors spreading around the Internet on Tuesday, the Pegula family released a statement updating the health of Kim, and it was good news:

"Kim is progressing well and is resting and rehabilitating from a health issue. We are grateful for the medical professionals providing her care and to everyone for their prayers and well wishes. We ask that you please continue to respect our need for privacy during this time."

Pegula had reportedly been hospitalized in Boca Raton, Florida more than two weeks ago. It remains unclear, at this time, what Pegula is dealing with.
