LANCASTER COUNTY DEA’S OFFICE BEGAN THEIR CASE TODAY CALLING WITNESSES. THEY WANT TO SHOW THAT CLAIRE MILLER NOW 16 SHOULD BE TRIED AS AN ADULT NOT A JUVENILE AND HER SISTER’S STABBING DEATH AND THERE WERE A COUPLE OF DEVELOPMENTS DRAMATIC DEVELOPMENTS CLAIRE MILLER AT ONE POINT HAS TO BE EXCUSED FROM THE COURTROOM WHEN THE AUTOPSY REPORT ABOUT HER SISTER WAS READY FOR IT ALSO APPEARED. SHE WAS CRYING WHEN POLICE BODY CAM VIDEO WAS SHOWN ON A SCREEN IN A COURTROOM. THAT IS ACTUALLY UPSTAIRS FROM WHERE WE GET TO WATCH THE PROCEEDINGS NOW MANUM TOWNSHIP POLICE HAD SOME DRAMATIC TESTIMONY JUST A SHORT TIME AGO DETECTIVE JONATHAN MARTIN OF MAN OF TOWNSHIP POLICE TELLS THE COURT THE CLAIRE MILLER TOLD HIM IN A HOLDING AREA THAT NIGHT OF THE POLICE STATION THAT AFTER SHE HEARD THE HALLOWEEN MOVIE RINGTONE. SHE SAID QUOTE I MICHAEL MYERS MY SISTER AND THEN WHEN SHE WAS BROUGHT BREAKFAST, SHE SAID TO HIM QUOTE I’D HAVE KILLED SOMEONE SOON OR IF I KNEW I’D GET MCDONALD’S POLICE SAY MILLER. JUST STABBING HER SISTER HELEN WHO HAD CEREBRAL PALSY DURING HER SLEEP, FEBRUARY 22ND. 2021 DR. WAYNE ROSS OF THE CORONER’S OFFICE. TESTIFIED. HELEN WAS STABBED SEVEN TIMES TWICE IN THE CHEST TWICE IN THE DRAW AND THREE TIMES IN THE NECK POLICE FOUND A KNIFE IN HER NECK WHEN THEY ARRIVED AT THE MANHEIM TOWNSHIP HOME THE PROSECUTION ALSO PRESENTED A PSYCHIATRIST WHO TESTIFIED CLAIRE WAS NOT A RELIABLE RESOURCE WHEN IT CAME TO DETERMINING WHETHER SHE SUFFERED FROM PSYCHOSIS AND HALLUCINATIONS. THAT WAS THE DIAGNOSIS FROM TWO DEFENSE WITNESSES. TO SAY CLAIRE WAS HEARING VOICES THE NIGHT. SHE KILLED HER SISTER. THERE’S ACCUSED OF KILLING HER SISTER HALLUCINATIONS THAT LED HER TO TRY TO STAB A FEMALE VOICE. SHE SAID WAS TAUNTING HER BOTH SIDES ARGUED OVER WHETHER SHE COULD BE REHABILITATED THROUGH PSYCHIATRIC TREATMENT. NOW TESTIMONY WILL CONTINUE TOMORROW. A hearing to determine whether a Lancaster County teen should be tried as a juvenile or an adult on charges she killed her sister continued Tuesday.Prosecutors called witnesses as they tried to prove to the court that Claire Miller should be tried as an adult in the 2021 fatal stabbing of her 19-year-old sister, Helen.Claire Miller was 14 at the time.Miller asked to be excused from the courtroom the autopsy report was read, and she appeared to cry while police body cam video was shown.Police testified that when they arrived at the home, they found Claire Miller standing barefoot in the snow, bloodied and crying.
