US 17-92 reopened in Maitland after fatal crash involving car, bicyclist, police say

Southbound lanes were closed during investigation

MAITLAND, Fla. – A person was hit by a car Tuesday afternoon along U.S. Highway 17-92 in Maitland, according to the police.

Officers said the crash happened around 3:45 p.m. near Sybelia Parkway, and all southbound lanes of 17-92 were blocked from there to Maitland Boulevard while police investigated.

Police said the fatal crash involved a vehicle and a bicyclist, but have so far not identified who was involved or determined what caused the wreck.

Maitland police announced the reopening of southbound lanes on U.S. Highway 17-92 at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.
