LOUISA CITY COUNCIL meets for regular August meeting, sets property tax rates. On Tuesday August 9, 2022 The Louisa City Council held its Regular Scheduled AUGUST Meeting at 7PM at Louisa City Hall, Louisa, Kentucky. Mayor Harold Slone was in attendance along with Louisa City Council Members Gary Robertson, Lisa Schaeffer, Tom Parsons and Joey McClanahan. Council Members Matt Brown and Ashley Caudill were absent.

High speed chase in Lawrence County leads to large meth seizure and 4 arrests. Upon activating their emergency lights, the vehicle accelerated to elude.

On Monday August 8, 2022 the Lawrence County Public Library had a Regularly Scheduled Board Meeting at 5PM at the Lawrence County Public Library. Library Board of Trustees present were President John Osborne, Secretary Scott Osborn, Treasurer Kim Burchett and Marc Lester. Vice-President Susie Chambers was absent. Others present included Library employees Denna Meade and Caleb Farley.

Search warrant leads to the recovery of stolen goods from a recent string of vehicle break-ins in Blaine. The Lawrence County Sheriff’s office executed a search warrant at a residence in Blaine after obtaining information on the whereabouts of stolen goods linked to two break-ins from June of this year.
