MACON, Ga. (WGXA) -- A second suspect is in custody after a chase near Montpelier Ave. in Macon.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff's Office, deputies have now arrested the passenger who was in the vehicle, identified as 23-year-old Christopher Finnell Jr.
The driver, 19-year-old Vantonio Cook, was arrested Monday after the vehicle pursuit ended.
Deputies say Finnell escaped to a motel and hid in the bathroom, where he disguised himself by wearing women's clothing.
The sheriff's office adds that Finnell was wanted in connection to a shooting that happened earlier in 2022. He also had warrants for failure to appear in court for robbery, theft, obstruction, and other offenses.
Finnell was booked into the Bibb County Sheriff's Office without bond for the additional charges of aggravated assault, possession of a Controlled Substance, and two counts of felony theft by receiving stolen property.
Deputies say they arrested three other wanted suspects in the same hotel room on other charges and located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot.
