Multiple Agencies Involved In Manhunt For Erin Shooting Suspect

Erin, Tenn.–Multiple law enforcement agencies from across the state of Tennessee are assisting the Houston County Sheriff’s Office and Erin Police as they continue their search for the suspect who shot an Erin Police Officer last night.

Erin Police has identified the suspect as B.J. Brown. The subject opened fire on the officer and fled the area on foot. The subject is a black male and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue baseball cap.

The officer is in stable condition at Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Houston County Sheriffs Office, Stewart County Sheriff’s Office, Humphreys County deputies, Montgomery County deputies, TBI, Tennessee State Troopers, K-9 units from various agencies, City of Waverly, City of Clarksville, Houston County EMA, City of McEwen, Dickson Tactical, Dickson County, Memphis Swat Team, City of White Bluff, and TWRA.

Personnel with Stewart Co EMA also have their Mobile Command unit on site, providing communication support during the manhunt for the suspect.

Donations of water and food for the people involved with the manhunt are being accepted at Erin City Hall.

 Sheriff Sugg and Chief Moore said thank you to all who are helping and who have donated food and drink.
