Larry G. Green, 75, of Loyalsock Township, passed away on June 25, 2022 at Rose View Manor.
Born on April 13, 1947 in Williamsport, son of Emmons G. and Eleanor M. (Crissman) Green.
Larry retired in 2013 as a District Area Supervisor for American Greetings after 41 years of service. He coached Pop Warner Football for Loyalsock, Williamsport, and Montoursville. He then went on to coach baseball for Loyalsock, Brandon, and Memorial Little Leagues. Larry enjoyed bowling, bass fishing, the New York Yankees, college football, and many trips to Canada and Florida. He was also a member of Faxon United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Saundra Lee.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, the former Catherine R. Heim, whom he married on July 29, 1972 at St. Boniface Church; son, E. Robert Green (Barbara Hoffman), and daughter, Kristi Steinbacher (Christopher); grandson, Emmons R. Green II; step-grandson, Andrew Hoffman; sister, Pamela J. Carpenter (Michael); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
There will be a private family graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 1, 2022 at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Rt. 15, Montgomery with Rev. Susan Halverstadt officiating. Friends are welcome to join a life celebration from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Johnson’s Café, 334 Broad Street, Montoursville, PA 17754. Larry’s favorite lunch spot.
The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Rose View Manor.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Mental Health Benevolent Fund at Diakon, payable to Diakon Family Life Services, 435 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport, PA 17701.
