The Megasite Authority of West Tennessee meets today at 1pm at Southwest Development District’s office in Jackson. The Authority, that includes Haywood countians Jim Duke and Michael Banks, manages the site for the state. Among their duties is the disbursement of the $269 million payment in lieu of tax funding owed by Ford and SK Solutions. So far, the Authority has not said how that money will be allocated. Haywood County hopes for most or all of it over the PILOT’s 30-year pay-out.
