On June 28 at 8:41 a.m., Medford Police patrol officers responded to the report of a body in the irrigation canal in the 1000 block of Biddle Road. Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male and Medford Police Detectives and a Jackson County Sheriff's Office Medical Examiner were called to assist with the investigation.
At this time, the circumstances of the man's death are unknown and he did not have any obvious signs of trauma.
The deceased male has been identified as 59-year-old Kurt Lund. Next of kin have been notified.
There are no additional changes in the status of the investigation. The investigation is still pending review from the Forensic Pathologist.

The Medford Police Department has announced that a man was found deceased in an irrigation canal in the 1000 block of Biddle Road near McAndrews Road.
"At this time, the circumstances of the man's death are unknown and he did not have any obvious signs of trauma," MPD said in a release.
The man's identity is being withheld, police said, so the person's family can be notified.
Medford Police Department Public Information Officer Mark Cromwell confirmed the incident with News 10 earlier Tuesday morning.
Several fire engines and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Medical Examiner were on the scene as well as MPD patrol officers and detectives.
MPD said a forensic pathologist is working to investigate the cause of the man's death.
