Lincoln Police have issued a warning about a fake social media post that’s been circulating in several cities. The post talks about a serial killer who’s driving a truck with red led lights and runs into cars with women driving alone. The bogus post says he then kidnaps them when they get out of their car.

Two Men Robbed At Lincoln Apartment Building
Lincoln Police are investigating a robbery in the 800 block of N. 26th Street. “Arriving officers made contact with two male victims who reported they were threatened by two men armed with knives in the lot of their apartment building, between midnight at 2:00 a.m.,” says Sergeant Chris Vollmer.

LPD: Five Teens Taken Into Custody After Crashing Stolen Vehicle
Lincoln Police say the theft of two cars from the driveway of a home near 60th and Leighton Friday morning eventually led to the capture of five teenagers. Sergeant Chris Vollmer says a man reported his 2011 Nissan Maxima and his 2005 Dodge Magnum had been taken from his driveway during the overnight hours.

Stolen Semi Filled With Amazon Packages Found Near Waverly
Nebraska State Troopers recovered a stolen semi-trailer full of Amazon items during a traffic stop on I-80 near Waverly. On Friday morning the patrol was notified by a trucking company that a trailer they had reported stolen was believed to be traveling in Nebraska. The trailer had been reported stolen from Maryland in early August.

Lincoln Transit To Relocate Two Bus Stops August 22
StarTran transit system will move two bus stops currently located on “N” Street between South 10th and South 11th streets to nearby locations beginning August 22. The relocation will allow the Gold’s building demolition to continue while keeping StarTran’s riders safe from construction. Bus Stop One will relocate to the intersection of “N” and South 11th Street on the southwest corner, next to Latitude Apartments. Bus Stop One serves Route 41-Havelock, Route 54-Veteran’s Hospital, and Route 56-Sheridan.
