BUCHANAN COUNTY—One person was injured in an accident just before 10:30a.m. Tuesday in Buchanan County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2021 Peterbilt semi driven by Logan S. Strawderman, 34, Frontenac, Kan., was southbound on Interstate 29 two miles south of Faucett.
The semi rear-ended a 2021 Chevy Spark driven by Amy J. Schiffer, 46, Chase City, Virginia, that had slowed due to a mechanical defect. After impact, the Chevy traveled off the road and struck a guardrail.
Buchanan County EMS transported Schiffer to Mosaic Life Care. Strawderman was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained, according to the MSHP.
