WILCOX COUNTY, Ga. (WGXA) -- Authorities arrested four people over a two-day period for attempting to smuggle contraband into a midstate prison.
According to the Georgia Department of Corrections, it happened on June 24 and 25 at Wilcox State Prison.
GDC says on June 24, two people were spotted on the property of Wilcox State Prison. Authorities searched the area and located tobacco, cellphones, lighters, cigarettes, rolling papers, vape pens, charging blocks, and charging cables.

Authorities then located the suspects, Kaylashia Wright and an unidentified man, and booked them at the Wilcox County Jail.
The next day, Abbeville police conducted a traffic stop near Wilcox State Prison.
When police searched the vehicle, they found contraband wrapped in blue tape and cellophane.
Police arrested Isaac Gibbs and Maurice Williams.
