Aggravated assault, aggravated battery arrests in Morgan City; stolen weapon charge in Patterson

Morgan City police reported arrests on aggravated assault and aggravated battery charges. Patterson police made an arrest on a stolen weapon charge.

Morgan City

Interim Police Chief Mark Griffin Jr. reported that over the last 96-hour reporting period, the Morgan City Police Department responded to 146 calls for service and made these arrests:

—Stephen Guarisco, 53, Florence Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 5:59 a.m. Saturday on charges of aggravated battery, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, illegal possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, possession of marijuana and false imprisonment.

—Robert W. Wilkerson, 43, South Road, Morgan City, was arrested at 6:30 a.m. Monday on a warrant alleging aggravated assault with a firearm.

—Lauryssa LaCoste, 28, La. 182, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:30 a.m. Monday on warrants alleging simple battery, disturbing the peace (language) and criminal mischief (filing false police report).

—Mekhi P. Branton, 18, Greenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 9:49 p.m. Monday on charges of wrong way on a one-way roadway, possession of marijuana (first offense) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

—Amanda R. Thibodeaux, 31, Roderick Street, Morgan City, was arrested 11:01 p.m. June 24 warrants alleging red light violation and driver must be licensed (6th Ward City Court) and criminal neglect of family (16th Judicial District Court).

—Bridget Pojar, 43, Egle Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:03 a.m. Saturday on a charge of disturbing the peace (language).

—Derrick Singleton, 46, Louisiana Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:17 a.m. Saturday on a charge of theft under $1,000.

—Mario Garcia-Ordonez, 40, Glenwood Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 12:46 a.m. Sunday on charges of stop sign violation, driver must be licensed, no registration, no insurance, driving while intoxicated (first offense) and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

—Kellie Boudreaux, 39, Willowbend Lane, Patterson, was arrested at 8:33 p.m. Sunday on warrants alleging unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and driver must be licensed (St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office) and failure to appear (16th Judicial District Court).

—Brice Kemp, 35, Joseph Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 3:31 a.m. Sunday on charges of possession of marijuana (first offense), driver must be licensed, improper lane usage and speeding.

—Erik W. Songe, 27, Arizona Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 8:25 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving while intoxicated (second offense), reckless operation of a vehicle, child endangerment law, improper lane usage and no child restraint system.

—Michael J. Credeur, 60, Oregon Street, Berwick, was arrested at 8:36 p.m. Sunday as a fugitive from the Louisiana Office of Probation & Parole.

—Katrina G. Courville, 39, Azelea Drive, Donner, was arrested at 9:22 a.m. Saturday on a 16th Judicial Court warrant on a charge of failure to appear.

Patterson
Police Chief Garrett Grogan
reported these arrests:

—Dontre L.Q. Nicholas, 23, Tall Timbers Drive, Patterson, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. Monday on a charge of illegal possession of a stolen firearm. No bond has been set.

—Dwayne A. Blackburn, 43, Cherry Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:59 p.m. Monday on a charge of remaining in forbidden place or entry. Bond has been set at $320.

St. Mary

Sheriff Blaise Smith advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and made these arrests:

--Gabriel Elizabeth Mayon, 22, Bayou L'Ourse, was arrested at 1:49 p.m. Monday on charges of domestic abuse battery (child endangerment law), failure of owner to secure registration, expired license plate and failure to yield. Bond has not bee set.

--Israel Joseph Washington III, 21, Abbeville, was arrested at 2:54 p.m. Monday on charges of window tint violation, improper lane usage, turning movements and required signals, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.

Washington was released on an $80,000 bond.
