TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Officer Greg Ferency, a 30-year veteran of the Terre Haute Police Department, was shot and killed in the line of duty on July 7, 2021. In the attached interview Shelley Klingerman, Ferency’s sister, sits down with Good Day Live to talk about the brother she dearly misses and the ways his memory lives on.
As we look back at his life one year later, a celebration of life is planned at Afterburner Brewing Company on July 7 from Noon to 8 pm. The brewery has even created a special beer in Ferency’s memory.
Along with the brews, come out and enjoy food trucks, local celebrity bartenders and Good Day Live’s Julie Henricks as emcee. All tips and money collected will go to Project Never Broken in Ferency’s honor.
