A man who shot and killed a reported "intruder" has been charged with murder, deputies said.On June 22, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Becky Hill Road.Christian Everhart, 25, called 911 and said he had shot an intruder who had broken into his home.Deputies arrived and located Sarah Baxter dead from a gunshot wound.After investigation, deputies determined Baxter had been a guest at the residence and spent the night at the residence.On Monday, Everhart was arrested and charged with murder. He is being held without bond and was issued a court date of July 21.The Davidson County Sheriff's Office posted about this case.This is an ongoing investigation, according to deputies.This is a developing story, check back with WXII for more updates.

A man who shot and killed a reported "intruder" has been charged with murder, deputies said.

On June 22, the Davidson County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting on Becky Hill Road.

Christian Everhart, 25, called 911 and said he had shot an intruder who had broken into his home.

Deputies arrived and located Sarah Baxter dead from a gunshot wound.
