Police on Wednesday identified the woman who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Charleston.
Edra Lou Johnson, 67, of Charleston was struck by a vehicle along Lee Street East near the Charleston Town Center on Tuesday, according to the Charleston Police Department. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the incident remains under investigation with possible charges pending.

Police said possible charges are pending after a woman was struck and killed by a vehicle Tuesday in Charleston.
An adult woman died after she was struck by a car Tuesday about 11:15 a.m. in the 200 block of Lee Street East near the intersection of Clendenin Street, according to the Charleston Police Department.
The crash remains under investigation with possible charges pending, the police department said.
The name of the woman was not immediately released as next of kin was still being notified.

A person has died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday in Charleston, dispatchers said.
The incident was reported about 11:20 a.m. near the Charleston Town Center parking garage, according to Metro 911.
Lee Street East is currently closed. Drivers are asked to avoid the area if possible.
Dispatchers said the vehicle involved remained on scene. No other information was immediately available.
