Lexington Police to conduct public safety checkpoints Thursday, June 30

The traffic checks come as the number of complaints and collisions rise within Town of Lexington.

LEXINGTON, S.C. — Motorists within the Town of Lexington should be aware Lexington Police will be conducting public safety checkpoints at various locations within town limits on Thursday, June 30.

Police Chief Terrence Green says the checkpoints come in response to a rising number of complaints, vehicular collisions, and previous enforcement in the area. Police are attempting to curb speeding and unsafe driving practices.

Motorists should be prepared to show their valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance at the checkpoints.
