Lexington, SC 06/28,2022 - Lexington County Coroner, Margaret Fisher released the identity of the woman who died in a vehicle versus tractor-trailer collision in the 1800 block of Old Dunbar Road between South Congaree and Cayce shortly before 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2022.
According to Coroner Fisher, Debra Lee Kittrell, 67, of West Columbia was the passenger in a sedan traveling eastbound on Old Dunbar Road when the vehicle she was riding in collided with the rear of a tractor-trailer. Kittrell, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital in critical but stable condition.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
