Woman struck, killed by vehicle near Town Center mall in Charleston

UPDATE (3:36 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28): Charleston Police say that possible charges are pending as they investigate a fatal crash that happened near Charleston Town Center mall on Tuesday.

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene after being hit by a car.

The woman’s identity has not yet been released because authorities are trying to first notify her next of kin.

Lee St. is back open at Clendenin St.


CHARLESTON, WV (WOWK)—A woman is dead after being hit by a vehicle, according to Kanawha Metro.

The incident happened on the 200 block of Lee St. E. near the Town Center parking garage.

The call came in around 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday.
