The steer sold to a private buyer for $45,000 with 100 percent of the proceeds going to Scare Away Cancer.
"It's been a great run," Tony Fucinaro Jr., owner of the steakhouse said at an announcement of the closure of the restaurant.
He decided to close the steakhouse so he could retire.

"The pandemic has nothing to do with it," Fucinaro said. This decision to retire was thought through, and it wasn't a rash decision, he said.
