Tanner Allen, former Mississippi State star, gives kudos to Ole Miss for winning baseball title
Tanner Allen may no longer be with the Mississippi State baseball program, but after winning a national title with the team in 2021, he’s a Bulldog for life.
Still, when the rival Ole Miss Rebels claimed the 2022 baseball championship on Sunday evening, even Allen was impressed.
As you can see below, the former Bulldog took to Twitter to pay respect to the team that went from last team into the tournament all the way to champions:
I’m not a Ole Miss fan by any means, but what they overcame this year was truly impressive. Any team that can come together and silence the critics by winning a Natty deserves a nice tip of the ?.

That’s a classy gesture from Allen, who still dislikes the Rebels, but just wanted to acknowledge a great team.
In 2023, the Bulldogs will try to shift the balance of power in the Magnolia State back to Starkville.
