Mr. Gary J. Babcock of Warrenton passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022. He was born on August 24, 1952, in St. Louis to the late John and Ethel Babcock. Gary had reached the age of 69 years.

Gary worked for the United States Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier in Wright City for 28 years. Gary also owned and operated his own Electric Motors shop with his dad, John, in Warren County for many years. Gary had a great taste in music and loved going to concerts with his family, especially his son, Andrew. He was an avid fan of St. Louis sports - especially the Cardinals, Rams and Blues - and he loved to talk sports all of the time with family and spent much time in his man cave where he had many autographed collectibles. He was always occupied doing something and had a love for fishing, cooking, and gardening; but most of all, he loved traveling and spending time with his family.

Those that are grateful for having shared in Gary's life are his beloved wife, Martha J. Babcock (nee: Ritschard); loving son, Andrew B. Babcock; and daughter, Kate J. Babcock; dear brother, Donnie (Linda) Babcock; nephew, Charlie Babcock; several nieces, Janet (Joe) Cline, Donna (Matt Westcott) Babcock and Jennifer Babcock; great-nephews, Justin and Shawn Babcock, Jessie and Johnny Cline, Grace Hayden, Tony R. and Justin Westcott. Gary was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Butch Babcock; and one nephew, Steve Babcock. He was a dear uncle, great-uncle, cousin, and friend to many; he will be missed by all who knew him.

A Celebration of Life for Gary will be held at a later date. The family is in the care of Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Online condolences may be made at www.martinfuneral.net.

Memorial donations are appreciated to the St. Louis Special Olympics and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of St. Louis in honor of Gary.
