Tarentum police charged a man wanted on two arrest warrants with being a drug dealer after a state narcotics agent spotted him hanging out on his front porch.

Jadrian Race “Toocy” Wade, 28, of the 300 block of East Eighth Avenue was charged with two felony counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver along with three counts of drug possession.

Wade, who was wanted on an arrest warrant by Greensburg police as well as the state Department of Probation and Parole, is being detained in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of a $100,000 cash bond, according to court records.

He faces a formal arraignment Aug. 28 for felony drug charges filed in February by Greensburg police, according to court records.

A preliminary hearing on the charges filed by Tarentum police is scheduled before District Judge Carolyn Bengel on June 29, court records show.

A Tarentum police detective wrote in the criminal complaint charging Wade that the detective was contacted June 3 by an agent from the state Attorney General’s Office who reported seeing Wade “loitering” on the porch.

Police surrounded the house, and two state agents made contact with a woman who confirmed that Wade was inside the house, according to the complaint.

While agents were speaking to the woman, a Tarentum police officer who was stationed at the back of the house saw Wade trying to leave through a second-floor window, the complaint said. Police said Wade ran back inside when the officer ordered him to stop and show his hands.

The two agents arrested Wade as he was coming down the front stairs, police said.

The woman gave police permission to search the home, where they found $1,800 scattered on the floor of the main bedroom she shares with Wade, the complaint said.

She told police the money wasn’t hers and “had to belong to Wade,” according to his arrest papers.

Police said they also found two digital scales and packaging supplies, a little less than 17 grams of crack cocaine, a bag with 2.75 ounces of marijuana and nine packages each containing between 3.5 grams and 5.5 grams of marijuana.
