A summer cold front is coming to Corpus Christi. Here's what to expect.

A slow moving cold front will bring much-needed relief to South Texas Monday night.

The Corpus Christi area could feel temperatures as low as 70 this week, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi. An upper level disturbance and will bring scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms midweek. 

Despite the slightly cooler weather, maximum heat indices of 105 degrees will be possible Monday through Thursday. Friday and Saturday could feel like 105 to 109 degrees.

The front is expected to dissipate by Wednesday. The area could receive between a quarter of an inch to an inch of rain in some areas, the National Weather Service said.

A slow moving cold front is moving over South Texas from the north, according to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi.

Tuesday is expected to have a high near 93 and a low around 76. Wednesday will have a high near 90 an da low near 77. Thursday will be partly sunny with a high near 90 and a low around 77. Friday will be mostly sunny with a high near 92 and a low near 80. 

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny throughout the day and clear at night with high temperatures near 92 and lows around 79 at night.
