The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 1000 block of North Dupre Street.
The initial call to police was made at 1:29 A.M.
According to initial NOPD reports show that a man sustained a gunshot wound to his body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries.
