Where to celebrate the Fourth of July in the Blue Water Area

Several fireworks shows are scheduled in the Blue Water Area to celebrate the Fourth of July.

The Blue Water Area has several opportunities to celebrate Independence Day this weekend. 

Algonac

The Algonac Lions Club will have a fireworks show at dusk Friday during the 84th Algonac Lions Pickerel Tournament. The show will be held at the Algonac Riverfront Park. 

Lexington 

Fireworks will light up the coast by the harbor and Tierney Park in downtown Lexington at dusk Friday. A parade is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday.

Port Huron 

Port Huron Museums will host 4th at the Fort from noon to 4 p.m. Monday at the Fort Gratiot Light Station, 2802 Omar St. There will be free pony rides for children, and sparklers, chips, hot dogs and limited edition t-shirts to purchase.

A guided tour up the 94 steps of the tower will also be available for $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors and free for museum members. 

The Fort Gratiot Lighthouse is the focus of Fort Gratiot Light Station County Park

Port Sanilac 

A parade is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, followed by a fireworks show at dusk at the Port Sanilac Harbor. 

A fireworks show is slated to start at dusk Saturday at the Port Sanilac Harbor.

St. Clair 

A fireworks display will start at dusk Monday at Palmer Park. Parking is available on Riverside Avenue and in the parking lot of St. Clair Riverview Plaza. several local restaurants will be open, along with numerous vendor concessions.

A fireworks show will be visible from St. Clair's Palmer Park Monday.
