The Melcher-Dallas Baseball Squad split a double header with Keota while the softball squad fell hard to Orient-Macksburg on Monday. The baseball Saints fell in game one 9-1 as Anthony Schneider got the only RBI. Owen Suntken took the loss going 4 2/3. Game two was a much different story with the Saints winning 6-4 and taking advantage of seven walks. Tristan Bennett got the win pitching three innings. The softball Saints had one they would just soon forget in a 20-6 loss to Orient-Macksburg. Paeytn Anderson drove in five of Melcher-Dallas’s six runs but seven Saint errors and an eight spot in the 6th inning by the Bulldogs was too much to overcome. Jenna Mickey had three hits and Saydi Benz had the other RBI. Benz took the loss striking out three. Both Saints squads will host Sigourney tonight.
