West Chester Woman Arrested After Interfering With Law Enforcement

WEST CHESTER, PA — A local resident was arrested early Sunday morning by the West Chester Police Department.

Rebecca O’Connor, age 31, has been charged with Aggravated Assault,  Obstructing Administration of Law, Resisting Arrest and additional related offenses.

Authorities state that on June 26, 2022, at approximately 1:30 am, the West Chester Police responded to a disturbance in the 50 block of W. Gay St. As officers were taking a subject into custody, a female, identified as Rebecca O’Connor, attempted to stop the arrest by pushing an officer. Officers attempted to take O’Connor into custody, at which time she reportedly resisted and struck another officer in the chest.
