The Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office in Morgantown, West Virginia, has announced that homicide suspect Arlo Romano, 42, was arrested by the Pennsylvania State Police Uniontown barracks on Monday evening.
Romano, of Morgantown, was wanted in connection with the homicide of a man named Matthew Moore, 46, of Morgantown, that occurred on May 7.
The sheriff’s office said Moore’s body was found in the road in the area of Round Bottom Road in Morgantown.
In addition to Romano, police took a second suspect, Cleotis Cortez-Paul Epps Jr., into custody last week.
State police based in Fayette County were contacted on Monday evening on a report of a retail theft in progress at the Uniontown Walmart.
Police said troopers encountered a male and female inside of the store where they were detained and interviewed. Police said Romano attempted to provide a false identification.
According to police Romano was also in possession of a stolen motorcycle from Preston County, West Virginia. Once Romano was taken back to the Uniontown barracks, troopers say they located drugs and paraphernalia on him.
Romano will be facing multiple additional charges out of Uniontown.
