Area student athlete to compete with soccer team at National Championship

Anna Hobart, a sophomore at Natchitoches Central High School, was a member of the school’s Varsity Soccer Team and made the All-District 1st team as a freshman. She recently won the National Premier League Gulf States Regional Championship with her club soccer team, Cajun Rush 07G Academy (based in Lafayette). They will be competing for the National Premier League National Championship in July in Commerce City, Colorado—one of only 14 teams in the country.

Anna began playing soccer at 4-years-old with the Natchitoches Youth Soccer Recreational League. She was fortunate to have several soccer mentors in the Natchitoches soccer community from the time she was 6 years old who have helped her to achieve her goals.

“This team has worked so hard—individually and as a team,” said Anna. “We are very honored and proud to be representing Louisiana in this national tournament. It’s a huge accomplishment for the team, and we’re excited for this opportunity.”
