Medicine Shoppe: Letter to Medicare Part D patients is 'glitch'

HUTCHINSON, Kan. — Some Medicare Part D patients from Cigna, ClearSpring and Mutual of Omaha who use the Medicine Shoppe at 14th and Main in Hutchinson for their prescriptions were sent a letter that the pharmacy was no longer in those companies benefits network.

The pharmacy did its legwork to the various companies and found out it was a glitch related to their recredentialing this year.

"Due to extra long processing times, an automatic letter was sent out saying the patients would need to leave our pharmacy," said the Medicine Shoppe on social media. "We have been assured that it was a glitch and you will not need to leave our pharmacy. We have requested a retraction letter."
