A man was arrested on Thursday, June 23 after brandishing a loaded gun in public, according to Willits Police Department.

The suspect, Cody Caldwell, was arrested near the 100 block of Holly Street in Willits. Caldwell reportedly got into an argument with a man and took out a loaded weapon, saying he felt threatened.

While en route to being booked on charges, Caldwell reportedly experienced a medical emergency and was transported to Howard Memorial Hospital.

Caldwell was cited at the hospital for brandishing and carrying an unregistered firearm and carrying a concealed weapon.
