Heavy police presence at three locations late Monday

UPDATE, June 28, 10:52 a.m. — Davenport Police are investigating two shootings that happened late Monday night.

The first, June 27, at approximately 11:05 p.m., police responded to the 1000 block of Scott Street in reference to reports of shots fired with an individual injured by gunfire. Upon arrival, responding officers located a 19-year-old male, suffering from serious but non-life threatening gunshot wounds, and was transported by private vehicle to the hospital for medical evaluation and treatment.

In the second, at about 11:16 p.m., police responded to the 300 block of East Dover Court in reference to reports of shots. Upon arrival, officers located a 16-year-old male suffering from a serious but non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Medic EMS transported the juvenile to hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. No other injuries or damage was reported. Both incidents remain under investigation; no further information is available at this
time, police said.

EARLIER: Police found multiple shell casings late Monday after a report of gunfire shortly after 11 p.m. in Davenport.

A heavy police presence was on Scott Street near West 11th Street. Our Local 4 News crew saw about two dozen evidence markers on Scott Street.

Shortly after 11:30 p.m., Davenport Police also were at Genesis Medical Center – East Campus, and the 300 block of East Dover Court. We do not know whether these incidents are connected.
