The Ripley Fourth of July Celebration’s Grand Parade sponsored by Sheetz is always greeted with much anticipation and excitement.
The parade route will leave Ripley High School at noon and end at the intersection of Academy Drive near Sheetz.
The theme for this year’s parade is “Liberty rings in Ripley.” All float entrants must be decorated around the theme. Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third places, as well as the Ken Hechler Best of Parade award.
Ripley’s Superintendent of Schools, Blaine Hess, will be the parade Marshal.
Several awards have already been presented to the following:
Jackson County Hunting Heroes have received the Leadership award.
The Pilot Club of Jackson County received the Visionary award.
The Equestrian award was presented to Gary Gwisdalla.
