I Reach for This Convenient Cordless Vacuum So Often, I Hardly Use My Dyson Anymore

Having a pet is fantastic, but it means vacuuming is a never-ending chore. 

My husband and I adopted an adorable cat a few years ago, and, well, he’s messy. Not only is there fur everywhere, but he somehow tracks litter and bits of kibble all over the house. He’ll even dump kitty litter onto a freshly vacuumed floor. 

Normally, I use a large Dyson vacuum when I’m doing my weekly cleaning routine. But in the case of cleaning up frequent kitty litter piles, I’ve found myself reaching for the Greenworks 24V Deluxe Brushless Cordless Stick Vacuum the brand sent me last year. 

I’ve never owned a cordless vacuum before and at five pounds, this one is nice and light. Because it’s cordless, I can quickly clean up a little pile of litter or cat food without having to unwind a cord — I can just grab it and go, as long as I remember to charge it.

But even if I forgot, the vacuum charges in only half an hour. There are three speeds, and the brand claims the vacuum can run for about 45 minutes on a single charge. However, I need to use the highest speed, so the vacuum only runs for 10 minutes. I tend to use it for quick messes or awkward chores like vacuuming the stairs, so I don’t mind the short run time.

Normally, I’m the one who handles regular vacuuming in our house, but my husband will even reach for this convenient device to clean up a mess now and then. Though we don’t often use them, the vacuum comes with four attachments: a deep cleaning brush, a soft bristle brush, a 2-in-1 round brush, and a crevice tool. 

It has a brushless motor, and I like that it’s got a Hepa 13 filter for cleaner air. The canister is fairly small (at least when you’re vacuuming up cat litter like me), but that just means I can easily empty it into our kitchen garbage can without making a mess.  

The vacuum also has a digital display, so I can keep track of its battery life and see its power level. I also appreciate its LED lights, which illuminate those elusive (but ever-present) furballs hiding under our furniture. 

I didn’t think I’d use a stick vacuum much, but now that I have it, I’m sure glad it’s an option, especially when I don’t feel like dragging out my large, more cumbersome, corded cleaning device. Dyson. Short vacuuming tasks are quicker and easier thanks to the Greenworks cordless stick vacuum.
