Carol Ann (Hockey) Nunez

BELL CITY – Carol Ann Nunez was born Jan. 25, 1937, to the parents of John B. and Alice Hockey. Carol Ann passed away in her home on June 22, 2022, at the age of 85 years, surrounded by her loving family.
Carol Ann was the matriarch of a large and loving family. She, along with her husband Pat set a great example of what family should be, and was happiest when surrounded by her people. She was a long-time parishioner of St. John Vianney Catholic Church where she shared her talents as an organist for over forty years. During this time, she played for countless masses, weddings, and funerals to serve her community.
Carol Ann is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Ben Hockey.
Carol Ann is survived by her spouse, Willie “Billie Pat” Nunez; daughters, Becky Schultz (Michael), Stephanie Eger (Craig), Tami Hopkins (Steve), Rachel Nunez (Terrell); sons, Kenny Brown (Charlotte), Mike Nunez (Lisa), David Nunez (Melissa), Nick Nunez (Melissa); grandchildren, Kelly Pedersen (Ben), Scott Schultz (Carol Jo), Austin Brown (Kristi), Matt Schultz, (Kristie), Sarah White (John Michael), Heather Trow (James), Megan Hopkins, Tyler Nunez (Kate), Bailey Guidry (Ronnie), Maya Nunez, Jessie Nunez, Azara Nunez; great grandchildren, Lexi Peck, Brady Pedersen, Samuel Schultz, Nathan Schultz, Hunter McCoy, Brooklyn Booker, Ryan Brown, Kinsley Brown, Jeanne Marie White, and Baby Beignet.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held in St. John Vianney on Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11 a.m., the Rev. Wayne LeBleu, the Rev. John Payne and the Rev. Emanuel Tanu, Celebrants. Inurnment will be at a later date in Nunez family cemetery, under the direction of Johnson & Brown Funeral Home. Visitation will be at St. John Vianney from 9 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m.
