Sheetz is lowering some pain at the pump by lowering some of its gas prices on select gas.
As part of a nationwide promo, the Sheetz in Troutman, Salisbury and Statesville are selling unleaded 88 gas at $3.99/gallon through July 4. Flex Fuel (E85) is $3.49/ gallon.
E85 contains more ethanol (51%-83%) and is not compatible with all vehicles. It is designed specifically for flexible-fuel vehicles or FFVs.

Unleaded 88 is approved by the EPA for use in vehicles for model years 2001 or newer, as well as light-duty trucks, SUVs and flexible-fuel vehicles, ABC affiliate WPXI reported.
