Three men are facing charges in connection with multiple vehicle crimes, according to the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division.
According to officials, Frank Edwinn Easterlin, 37, of Rowesville, SC, Jonathan Carter Easterlin, 31, of Orangeburg, SC, and Harvin Antwain Spigner, 40, of St. Matthews, SC are each charged with multiple vehicle crimes dating back to April of 2019.
All three men are accused of possessing stolen vehicles with a removed VIN number, according to arrest warrants.
The vehicle's true VIN had been removed and placed on a stolen Ford F-350 registered by the SCDMV.
Frank Easterlin is also accused of operating a chop shop at Winn's Auto Sales where he removed VIN numbers, disassembled, dismantled, and reassembled cars and vehicle parts in order to misrepresent the identity of the car. Johnathan Easterlin is accused of possessing a stolen white 2002 Ford F-350 with a true VIN value of more than $2,000 but less than $10,000.
Spigner is accused of possessing a stolen black and tan 2005 Ford F-350.
Officials say the car was reported stolen from Columbia, S.C. pm in September 25, 2012. The car's true VIN and labels had been altered to mask the identity of the vehicle.
All three men are being held at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center.
